I’m having the entire fam over for Thanksgiving this year in our new house. I saw these adorable charges that were perfect…until I saw the price tag. Yikes! They were like $25 a piece!!

You can still get the look of an expensive charger without the pricetag IF you make them yourself.

What you’ll need:

MDF cut to 12 inches x 12 inches

Mod Podge

A foam brush

Scrapbook paper (we used “The Modern Meadow” from DCWV which I am just swooning over lately!)

How to make DIY Chargers:

First cover your MDF board completely on one side with Mod Podge.

Apply a lovely piece of scrapbook paper or cardstock form your favorite cardstock stack.

Let it dry, flip it over, and remove any paper that is hanging off the sides with a craft knife. (on a self-healing mat of course :))

Apply a pretty, thin ribbon to the edge with craft glue or hot glue. I used hot glue…I’ll take any chance to fire up my glue gun!
