The Easiest Vintage Photo Album

Do you like the “vintage” look for your photo projects? If you are in to crafting vintage-looking scrapbooks, you know that it takes a LOT of effort to get something to look effortlessly aged. But sometimes the best ideas are so simple…and this one from the Turquiose Flamingo is spot on!

Why not use a quirky vintage book, glue your photos on top of the existing pages, and embellish away!

Cathy kept her daughter’s album very simple – and it is beautiful as-is with just the book pages as a background, and the photos applied with adhesive photo corners. You could also build this into a simply stunning mixed media art journal with inks, markers, stamps, and other scrapbooking stuff. How cool would that look!? The best part is, you don’t have to do much to get an authentic vintage look here…every used book comes with a well-loved charm and personality all its own. The covers are so beautiful on old books…If they aren’t being read anymore, Why not get creative with them and enjoy them again?

So go check out your local used book store for a few treasures and see if one inspires you!
